VoteIn a secret vote, Men's Team Foil was selected for exclusion from the 2008 Olympics. Women's Team Epee is also excluded. For these excluded weapons, there will be just 25 fencers, and a restriction max two per country (so e.g., Italy or France can't send more than 2 even if they otherwise qualify more athletes).

Men's Team Foil, and Women's Team Epee, will be fenced 4 months prior to the Olympics in the 2008 World Championships.

Men's Team Sabre and Men's Team Epee will be fenced at the 2008 Olympics.
